About Us

The Italian Association is a 501-(c)-(3) non-profit organization run by a Board of Directors and by an Advisory Council. All members operating for the Italian Association are Volunteers and do not receive any money or compensation I any form for the services rendered to and for the Italian Association.

The Board of Directors is composed by the funding members of the Italian Association, and consists of:

  • Mickey Rao, CEO
  • Marino Godi, President
  • Peter Stazzone, CFO
  • Roland Clarke, Secretary
  • Marcellino Verzino, Director of PR
  • Dario Soldan, Director of Events

The members of the initial Board of Directors are permanent and are not be subject to the term provided in this section. The other Directors shall be eventually elected by the members of the Association at the Annual General Meeting of the Association. Each Director other than the permanent Directors shall serve for a term of one year.

No Director shall receive any compensation from the Association for services performed in his or her official capacity, but Directors may be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in the performance of official duties.

The Advisory Council is composed by the Board of Directors and other 15 members.

An Advisory Council is formed by the members of the Association and is responsible for the planned events of the Association. The Advisory Council will propose the different activities and events to the Board of Directors, which after having evaluated such proposals and assessed the available resources, will endorse and authorize the Advisory Council to implement the event. In particular, each member of the Advisory Council will be responsible for the following areas of operation:

  • marketing development;
  • members enrollment;
  • services;
  • cultural activities;
  • relations with Italy and other organizations;
  • events management;
  • press relations and advertising;
  • any other matters decided by the Board of Directors.

The Italian Association of Arizona welcomes all Italians, Italian Americans and American Italians that want to develop and promote business, cultural activities and initiatives in Arizona and between Italy and Arizona.

Professionals, Entrepreneurs, Businesses and Individuals that want to support the Italian Spirit of Arizona are strongly invited to participate in our activities and join the Italian Association. 
The mission of the Italian Association (IA) is to aggregate the Italian Business and Professional community of Arizona and provide its members with a broad range of services, from supporting their business objectives, to facilitate communications and exchanges between members and their expansion goals.

The Italian Association of Arizona mission:

To be the voice and focal point of the Italian Community of Arizona. To represent and spur growth.
To organize cultural, commercial and administrative Italian activities in support and to the benefit of our community as well as the American Community.
To be the local entity that will operate in support of different initiatives requested from Italy.

Our vision is to be able to gather in time the necessary financial resources to create an Italian Center with services for the Italian people and support for the Italian Community
